Your honey deuces are paying for a $800 million Arthur Ashe Stadium overhaul
Briefly

The U.S. Tennis Association has announced an $800 million renovation of the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, marking the largest investment in U.S. Open history. This transformation will revamp Arthur Ashe Stadium and construct a new player performance center. The renovations, led by Rossetti—designers of the original stadium—aim to modernize facilities and enhance the experience for players and fans alike, with completion expected by the 2027 U.S. Open. Construction will occur in three phases to minimize disruptions during tennis events.
"Every square inch of the stadium is being revamped, from the club level to the lounge and the promenade," Danny Zausner, chief operating officer at the USTA, told reporters in an interview this week.
This renovation marks the single largest investment in U.S. Open history, with a total cost of $800 million aimed at enhancing the facilities for players and fans.
The architectural firm Rossetti, which has worked on Arthur Ashe stadium in the past, will spearhead the renovation to create a more modern experience.
The completion of these expansive renovations is targeted by the 2027 U.S. Open, with plans to phase the construction to avoid disrupting play.
