""It's disappointing to see the spike in robocalls in March, after six consecutive months averaging less than 4 billion robocalls," YouMail CEO Alex Quilici said in a prepared statement about the report."
"The March figure was also the largest amount of monthly robocalls since July 2025, with an average of 135.7 million robocalls per day."
"Increases were seen across all major robocall categories, including a 17% increase in notifications and a 14% increase in payment reminders."
In March 2026, U.S. consumers received over 4.2 billion robocalls, marking a 9.8% increase from February but a 12.5% decrease from March 2025. This was the highest monthly volume since July 2025. The increase was partly attributed to March having more days, with daily averages remaining stable. Legitimate robocalls, such as notifications and payment reminders, drove the increase, with notifications up 17% and payment reminders up 14%. Unwanted telemarketing and scam calls saw a smaller increase of 5%. February's robocall volume was 3.8 billion, down from previous months.
