Alexa+ can generate podcast-like conversational answers using AI co-hosts, with users able to preview and adjust tone and length before streaming on Alexa.
Smart rings, smart screens, smart TVs, smart pins, smart ... ice cube makers? Sure, why not! AI was everywhere at this year's Consumer Electronics Show ( CES) in Las Vegas, where companies large and small were showing off how they're bringing AI to more devices. For Amazon, CES was a time to show off its newest acquisition in the space: Bee, an AI device that can be worn as a clip-on pin or a bracelet.
A smart plug is great because it turns any regular appliance into a connected device without you having to buy expensive smart versions of everything: You don't need to spend $200 on a smart lamp when you can use a simple plug to make your $30 lamp respond to voice commands and set routines. But the good news is that during Black Friday, Amazon's smart plug goes down to $12 for Black Friday, which is less than its usual price of $24.
Alexa Plus adapts to the user's speech patterns, allowing for a more fluid interaction. Users can now ramble, pause, and even cough without losing the conversation, showcasing a much-improved understanding of natural language.
