Extraction shooters are eager to take everything away from you. And though Arc Raiders has proven to be a more friendly approach with its multiple paths of progression, dying at the end of a successful run still sucks. Getting pushed 99 percent of the way to failure and then surviving, however, is a feeling like no other. As more folks pour into Arc Raiders ' servers to hopefully extract and craft their way to glory,
Knowing that you'll have a lot of traveling and surviving to do on Spaceport for the A Lay of the Land quest, we'd recommend you bring guns you're comfortable with, as well as plenty of healing items. Additionally, it's a great idea to bring in an augment that has a safe pocket, as you'll need to extract with a specific item to complete the quest back in Speranza.
Each Arc Raiders map has a few intriguing puzzles to figure out, and they'll usually provide you with some nice loot for solving them. For instance, if you've come across the Ancient Fort POI on the Blue Gate map, you may have noticed a cellar door and some electrical boxes scattered around. This puzzle is easy to complete in theory, but the random battery locations add a sense of randomness to the equation.
Dropped into a multiplayer world overrun with hostile drones and military robots, every human player is at the mercy of the machines and each other. Can you trust the other raider you've spotted on your way back to humanity's safe haven underground, or will they shoot you and take everything you've just scavenged? Perhaps surprisingly, humanity is (mostly) choosing to band together, according to most people I've talked to about this game.
If you've accepted the Our Presence Up There quest in Arc Raiders, you'll need to visit the Pattern House on Dam Battlegrounds and perform a few quick tasks. It's a relatively straightforward quest, but knowing where each objective is located can make things move much more quickly--which can be important in a high-traffic area like the Pattern House. You don't need to extract to complete Our Presence Up There, but you'll be pretty close to an extraction point.
To unlock rewards during the Staking Our Claim event, you'll need to earn XP in matches. For every 100 XP earned, you are granted 1 Merit. You'll need a total of 3,600 Merits to collect everything in the event--and though this may sound like a major undertaking, XP comes pretty quickly when looting and killing enemies in raids, so it's likely to take you less time than you think.
This perk is the only way you can open the game's Security Lockers, extra loot boxes containing additional equipment that spawns within high-loot areas. The rewards in these Security Lockers were so good that folks across the game's community were asking for Embark Studios to nerf the perk. The developer has listened, confirming in the game's official Discord server that it has "adjusted the security lockers because they were over-providing valuable items."
The shooting, made more high-stakes thanks to the thrill of protecting your gear, is a blast. But I'm also quite fond of how the game is handling its live-service nature, from rotating map challenges like Night Raids that make the world feel more lively, to launching its first community event. Right now players are actively contributing resources to collectively unlock its new map, Stella Montis which, at the time of writing, sits at under 10-percent unlocked.
While PvP may sound most dangerous when you think about an extraction shooter, Arc Raiders may change your mind. You'll come into contact with a wide variety of ARC, robotic enemies, that can do devastating damage and quickly send you back to Speranza with nothing to show for it. Below, we'll detail every enemy you can encounter in Arc Raiders and how to deal with them.
You won't need to extract to complete Power Out, but you may potentially be making quite a trek to reach the quest location. It's not a bad idea to toss on a combat-focused augment with a good gun and shield, as well as plenty of ammo and healing items to ensure you're prepared to take on anyone standing in your way.
An early quest in Arc Raiders tasks you with finding Antiseptics, Syringes, Durable Cloths, and Great Mullein for Lance. While this may sound overwhelming at first, it's actually a pretty easy quest to complete once you realize all of the items are likely to be found in the same handful of areas. Below, we'll fill you in on where to find all of the items for the first quest from Lance, as well as how you can simply craft a few of them if necessary.
Your gear determines much of your success while playing a game of Arc Raiders, but so do your skills. The game chops up 45 different skills across three trees, with most skills improving your general mobility and speed, as well as your ability to loot. Last week, developer Embark Studios published their 2025 roadmap detailing what's coming to the PvPvE extraction shooter in the rest of November and some of what we can expect in December. This includes a newly revealed 1.1.0 update that went live today, with some features arriving this weekend. But while fans are chiming in with requests for new features, some also want Arc Raiders to keep some surprises up its sleeves. Here's where things stand in the massive hit multiplayer shooter a week since launch. Also, I have an epic video of someone taking down a Bastion with a pickaxe at the end. But first the game's latest set of patch notes:
Your first objective for Echoes of Victory Ridge will be to actually find Victory Ridge, which is located in the northern portion of the Dam Battlegrounds map. Zoom in and seek the West Broken Bridge POI--that's where you're headed. Note that this is a mostly safe area in the majority of matches, but you never know if you might run into other questers, so keep an eye out and try to be friendly. Or shoot them on site--it's your call.
To find the helmet, you'll need to head to the Wreckage on the southern portion of the Dam Battlegrounds map. This can sometimes be a fairly high-traffic area since it's also a good spot to farm mushrooms, so be on the lookout for other raiders while questing here. Wreckage POI When you arrive at the Wreckage, head to the bottom of the POI and look for a large, destroyed Baron machine collapsed in this area. There's a small plant just outside of this dilapidated machine that is hiding the helmet.
Something is gross about the water around here, and it's time to fix it. One of the quests you'll receive in Arc Raiders asks you to head into the Spaceport tunnels and turn a valve to switch up the water supply. Switching the Supply is a relatively straightforward quest, but the valve you need to interact with can be surprisingly challenging to spot if you're not quite sure where to look.
Arc Raiders sends you on plenty of item retrieval or combat missions, but one quest you'll encounter simply asks you to raise a flag for the sake of unity. If you've obtained the A Symbol of Unification quest, you'll be ready to get out there and start bringing folks together. Luckily, we're here to help you do so with an explanation of where to find the flag and how to raise it. Let's dive in.
Most quests in Arc Raiders send you to complete a couple of tasks on any given map, but a few quests require you to traverse long distances to clear multiple requirements. Perhaps the most substantial of these is A First Foothold, which asks you to visit four locations across Blue Gate. Each of these is on a completely different side of the map (north, east, south, west). It's a lengthy quest that may prove dangerous, but we're here to help you figure it out.
The official Arc Raiders account on X announced the in-game compensation for players. The post acknowledges "that our servers had a wobble on Sunday," with SteamDB noting the game hit a new peak concurrent-players count of 354,836 people on Steam that day. This comes after Arc Raiders already broke a Steam record for extraction shooters with PvP. Keep in mind that the game is also available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S (as well as Epic Games Store),
Levels come pretty slowly in Arc Raiders, and you receive only one skill point per level up. With this in mind, you'll want to make the absolute most out of your limited skill points to ensure that you're ready to take on all of the ARC and potential raiders you'll encounter topside.
Let's start with the keybinds, as this is one of the first menus you'll see after heading into the settings (it's labeled "Controls"). Unlike some other extraction games or multiplayer shooters, Arc Raiders keeps things fairly straightforward when it comes to your keybinds. There are only a few crucial keybinds that you'll want to change, but these can play a huge role in whether you live or die during a gunfight with an enemy.
