MILAN -- Canada women's hockey captain Marie-Philip Poulin has been ruled out of her team's preliminary-round game against the U.S. at the Olympics on Tuesday night because of injury. Just about five hours before puck drop, the Canadian Olympic Committee announced Poulin would not play after leaving a win Monday night against Czechia with an undisclosed lower-body injury. Poulin is considered day-to-day.
