Modern photography tools have evolved, but the core principles of observation and decision-making remain unchanged.
Rooted in the tension between nature and artificiality, the installations pose questions about how we interact with the environment and how we might find equilibrium with it. All of my photographs strain credulity by design. At first blush, they can appear to be digital fabrications, but in truth, they are entirely in-camera, printed with minimal post-production.
The brain of the instant camera that prints receipt-like photos is a Raspberry Pi Zero, which is a fully functional computer roughly the size of a credit card. Then, there's a dedicated camera module that connects to the board using a flat ribbon cable and handles the actual image capture.
