King of the Hammers, now in its 20th year, has evolved from a small contest among friends to a major off-road racing event, drawing over 80,000 attendees.

"If you're on the water, all you hear is the wind and the waves. And if you're on the snow, you hardly hear anything-just that track spinning through the snow at incredible speeds," says Taiga Motors cofounder and CEO Sam Bruneau.

Open's new bike is designed to be both aerodynamic and suitable for loaded bikepacking, achieving a balance between speed and carrying capacity across varied terrains.

The Hoot Steel is designed to run a 140mm suspension fork standard, but it has compatibility for 150mm forks without major geometry changes, ensuring versatility for riders.

The SP5+ is considered a fitness-focused electric bike with an aluminum frame, carbon fork, one-piece aluminum stem/bar, and aluminum wheels. The frame houses a Branta-branded XDS Mid-Drive X800 motor with 250-watt maximum continuous rated power, and 400 watt peak power, and 85Nm of torque.

The Unity is on a mixed-wheel setup, which is somewhat out of the norm for a bike in this category, but what category is this bike? While mixed-wheel setups are often associated with enduro and DH, Kona chose it here for pure utility, and when you look at the point they're making, it all makes sense.

The GT8 has all the trappings of a modern race bike: internal cable routing, integrated cockpit, UDH, internal storage, and massive tire clearance. The frame is crafted from Toray T800 carbon fiber, making it lightweight yet durable enough for a few adventures.

The new Levo R Alloy features the same Specialized 3.1 motor and 840Wh battery as the carbon version, providing similar performance at a lower price point.

The Trek-Unbroken prototype is a clear signal that the '80mm of travel is enough' era of cross-country racing has officially been put to pasture.

While most modern competitions recruit riders with similar skillsets and design courses to suit them, Natural Selection flips the script. By drawing riders from a wide range of backgrounds, NST creates a format that values creativity and individuality as much as technical execution. It is one of the few competitions where the structure of the contest comes secondary to the riders themselves.
