Entered through a rotunda that evokes a castle turret, the 1927 home blends traditional features with tasteful designer updates. Wood-beam cathedral ceilings, gothic arches and decorative medallions are among the architectural details.

Morgan Fairchild is one of America's best-known actresses. Daytime soap opera fans may remember her in Search for Tomorrow in the mid-70s. Her breakout television performance as Constance Weldon Carlyle in Flamingo Road (Golden Globe Best Actress nomination), was followed by Racine, one of her favorite roles, in Paper Dolls. Ms. Fairchild also starred in long-running television shows including Falcon Crest and Dallas.

Paul Mescal stepped up early with a big swing, hard-launching his relationship with Gracie Abrams with a red-carpet kiss. The frayed rolled cuffs and Henley collar of his Prada shirt gave him the air of having walked to the red carpet straight from the boards of Shakespeare's Globe theatre. Method dressing is the new power dressing, and this could be the season of Hamnet-core: see, also, Archie Madekwe's doublet-shaped Dior jacket and Elizabeth-adjacent sparkly ruff.

I like Southern California better every time I come here. I anticipate my visit to this city with enthusiasm. All theatrical people like this country. They like it in the winter, as well as summer. It is a good show city, besides its wonderful, natural attractions. Many stage people are buying property out here and will make this their summer home.

It's with almost 10 years of development and a lifetime of admiration and adoration for Audrey that I'm finally able to share this. Honoured and ecstatic don't begin to express how I feel.
