Crews responded to a gas and water leak in Cupertino on Sunday, leading to evacuation orders in nearby areas, according to the Santa Clara County Fire Department.
"The impact on our community is profound and we are working tirelessly alongside firefighters from Ventura County and neighboring areas along with a vast amount of emergency services to bring this fire under control," Capt. William Hutton, of the Ventura County Sheriff's Department, said during a Saturday evening news conference. This highlights the collaborative effort being made to manage the crisis and support affected residents.
"Authorities have issued warnings of life-threatening flooding as the storm known as Francine moves through Mississippi, with forecasts predicting heavy rains and potential flash floods in multiple states including Arkansas and Alabama."
