Sub-zero temperatures forecast, as the last days of 2025 are set to be cloudy and cold

Ulster and Connacht will see the best of the brighter spells later in the day, with highest temperatures ranging between 3 and 7 degrees. Clouds are expected to remain into the night, with scattered showers forecasted for the east and south of the country. Temperature lows of -2 are forecast in the north and northwest, with higher temperatures of between 2 and 6 degrees expected elsewhere.
