The Toronto Maple Leafs may consider trading goalies Stolarz and Woll after Akhtyamov's impressive debut performance.
The men's hockey tournament at the 2026 Milan Cortina Games is underway and many fans are hoping to see the exciting feat of scoring three goals in a single game, better known as a hat trick. "I'm curious to see over in Italy for the Olympics, if we'll see a hat trick to begin with, and then second will people throw their hats?" said Ty Di Lello, a hockey historian based in Winnipeg, Canada. The international sporting event will mark the return of National Hockey League players after a 12 year absence.
Joseph Woll did not have a good time Monday night as the Minnesota Wild strolled into the Toronto Maple Leafs' building and earned a decisive 6-3 win. The Leafs netminder experienced a thrashing right in front of him and had to eventually be pulled from the crease. But, he's being given another chance. Ahead of Wednesday night's matchup against the Detroit Red Wings, it was confirmed that Woll will once again get the start against a very good team.
