Bohrofen began his collegiate career with Oklahoma in 2021, but transferred to Arkansas for the 2022 season. In 2023, he slashed .318/.436/.612 with 16 home runs in 267 plate appearances, leading the Blue Jays to pick the Oklahoma City native with their sixth round pick. Shortly after being drafted, Bohrofen split his time between the Florida Complex League and Single-A to end the 2023 season, slashing .299/.443/.636 with seven home runs in 97 plate appearances.
