One of Ukraine's largest drone strikes on Russia killed at least four people, including three near Moscow, and wounded a dozen others, local authorities said Sunday. Debris fell on Russia's largest airport without causing damage. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the drone strikes, saying that they were "entirely justified." Russia has repeatedly launched similar attacks on Ukraine's capital and other cities during the war, and an expert said that the strikes appeared to be retaliation for recent Russian attacks on Kyiv.

Two police officers and another person have been killed in blast in southern Moscow, according to the Russian Investigative Committee. The two traffic police officers were killed overnight on Tuesday into Wednesday in an explosion that occurred when they attempted to arrest a suspicious individual, the Committee said in a statement on Wednesday. An explosive device was triggered as the officers approached the suspect who was near their service vehicle, the statement said.

"It's a trendy breed," said Olga Setina, an administrator at the centre. "Everyone rushes to get them... But they're bulldogs, they've got teeth, they've got health issues, they've got everything. And then people abandon them," she added.
