The Twin Pavilions are designed to reinterpret the traditional gable form, presenting two single-pitch volumes that engage with the coastal landscape in a unique manner.

When light shines through water, colors with longer wavelengths are absorbed by the water, with the longest wavelengths absorbed first. Blue and violet have the shortest wavelengths of visible light, so they are able to penetrate the deepest.

"I can't stress enough how much of a revolving door it is," says designer Henry Boyle of the seaside Nantucket compound he recently completed for a Connecticut-based couple, their four young-adult children, and a pack of beloved dogs. "They're local celebrities in this community-it's a constant stream of people."

The A100 concept reduces the width of side decks, allowing the main deck to stretch nearly the full beam of the yacht, creating significantly larger interior spaces than typically found on sailing yachts of comparable size.

With this season, we wanted to capture the feeling of being in the Mediterranean-the light, the energy, the colors of the coast. Travel, for me, has always been about the memories you create along the way, the moments that stay with you long after the trip ends. When designing this collection, we focused on translating that experience into the product itself, creating pieces that connect the spirit of the destination with the journeys our customers take.

Each nudibranch in this archive is three inches long, grown-up size, as the artist puts it, and each one is a faithful replica of a real species. The cerata, those finger-like projections on a nudibranch's back that serve as gills and defensive organs, are recreated individually in wool, each in the right shape and color for its species.

Recently I found this darling original painting placed in a vintage frame from an artist on Etsy. I just love it! it reminds me of the island views outside of our own home. This is the kind of decor for our home that we treasure, something that tells our story. Counting Ships is a photography series by Pierfrancesco Celada that examines proximity, movement, and scale within a maritime landscape. The project captures a busy ferry route connecting an island to one of the most densely populated regions nearby. The crossing takes approximately 25 minutes and passes through one of the world's most active maritime trade corridors, where more than two hundred cargo ships transit daily.

Hosted aboard a custom-built 508ft (155-metre) superyacht, admission to perhaps the most exclusive private members' club going comes with a raft of uber luxe experiences, and an overflowing toy box aboard its 229ft (70-metre) shadow vessel. For Caring, who is responsible for the club development and community building, the real draw is rare access to a highly curated network of like-minded individuals.

Text description provided by the architects. On the banks of the river in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Montreal, Mise à Jour Studio undertook thecomprehensive transformation of a heritage home. Formerly divided between a residence and a medical office occupying nearly half of the ground floor, the intervention opens up the spaces and enhances visual connections to the river, while bringing new light into the heart of the house.

Also known as boho style, this free-spirited aesthetic is built on an eclectic mix of patterns and organic textures anchored by earthy elements and color palettes. Take a look at Justina Blakeney's Los Angeles home tour to find inspiration-her peacock-hued bedroom is a lesson in texture. The beauty of this style is that you can express yourself with bold prints that range from paisley motifs and palm leaves, or tone it down by layering a neutral bedspread and pillow shams with tassels or pom-poms.

Despite their slender profiles, the best runner rugs can still transform a space from confused to curated. While they don't have quite the anchoring effect of an area rug, they can still breathe life into the spaces that need it most (see: entryways, hallways, all-white kitchens in need of resuscitation). Beyond creating impact in your entryway or hallway, runners serve an entirely practical purpose: catching and/or disguising debris in your high-traffic areas.

Sometimes the best architecture knows when to turn away. UK studio Denizen Works just completed their first project in Japan, and it does exactly that. The House in Onomichi presents an almost entirely blank facade to the street, creating what founder Murray Kerr calls an "enigmatic quality." But this isn't architecture being rude. It's architecture understanding that privacy can be the ultimate luxury.

My husband and I just upgraded our apartment here in Germany to one with much more space. The downsides of this is we have hard marble floors and a tall-ceilinged living room (oh woe is us!). It's very echo-y and looks directly into our neighbors across the street. The windows have external shutters, so light-blocking isn't needed, but we'd love to get
