Add depth free agents on inexpensive contracts. The Bills made a big splash by trading for Moore, and though more moves will come, some of the most important will be in identifying veterans who will sign team-friendly deals. It's a formula the team has used to find eventual starters in the past.
On February 21st, they signed Javonte Williams to a 3-year deal worth $24M in total. Williams, 25, gets $8M per year and a very solid $16M in guaranteed money with the extension. It will keep him in Dallas, at least contractually, through the 2028 season. He ran for over 1,200 yards a year ago, so it was important that they got a guy finally locked up, and they did it a bit early so that they did not have to overpay for him if other guys get more.
Maxx Crosby will not only cost one or two first round picks in a trade, his contract would cost the Cowboys $35.5 million a year. Trey Hendrickson won't cost the Cowboys any draft picks. However, his projected contract value is looking to be around $25 million a year. Odafe Oweh and Boye Mafe looked to be projected at around $19 million and $8-12 million.
There's been no deadline that's been put in front of me. There's no contract offer or anything, so there's nothing that I'm having to debate between. I'm a free agent. I'm enjoying my time with my wife and enjoying this part of the off season, and I think there's conversations to be had down the line, but right now, there hasn't been any progressive conversations.
