And when you're on the wrong end of these series, especially when you get all the way to the end, it's not a good feeling. I remember what it felt like when we got there, and then we lost, so after losing two, you get to the point where you're like, 'All right, I'm not necessarily complacent or happy yet, till we do what we're trying to do.'
Milwaukee Brewers superstar Jackson Chourio was forced to exit Game 3 of the National League Championship Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers with an apparent leg injury. He had to exit during his at-bat in the top of the seventh inning. Chourio sustained the apparent injury on a swing. The injury was to his right leg, and he was struggling to put weight on it as he hobbled off the field.
Blake Snell and Yoshinobu Yamamoto were absolutely incredible, with the former facing the minimum through eight innings, and Yamamoto throwing a one-run complete game. It'll be nearly impossible for Glasnow to top either of those outings, but he's been in great form himself and would be the ace on nearly every staff in baseball. He'll be looking to maintain his scoreless postseason against a Brewers' lineup that faced him twice in the regular season.
Yeah, you know, obviously this year's had its struggles, A lot of things trying to work through, the elbow injury, trying to find myself again. Certainly haven't been at the clip that I believe that I'm capable of, nor do the Dodgers think I'm capable of. But with a lot of the work we've put in and having the ability to get an out when Roki has been so great and picked us up, means a lot.
Max Muncy became the new Los Angeles Dodgers postseason home run leader with his blast in Game 2 of the National League Championship Series. That gave Muncy a total of 14 career home runs in the playoffs. Muncy had been tied with Corey Seager and Justin Turner for the all-time Dodgers home run record in the postseason at 13 each. Muncy hit his 13th career postseason home run during Dodgers' blowout win against the New York Mets in Game 3.
The game is scheduled for 7:08pm local time, with Yoshinobu Yamamoto (2.49 ERA) on the bump opposite Freddy Peralta (2.70 ERA). Yamamoto dominated the Reds in the Wild Card series with two runs (zero earned) and nine strikeouts across 6 2/3 innings of work, but he didn't fare quite as well against the Phillies in the NLDS as he surrendered three runs in four innings of work.
1992- Pinch-hitter Francisco Cabrera delivers a two-out single in the bottom of the ninth inning, driving in Sid Bream who narrowly beats the throw home for a 3-2 win over the Pirates in Game 7 of the National League Championship Series. 1997 - Kevin Brown pitches a complete game and Bobby Bonilla collects three RBI as the Florida Marlins defeat the Atlanta Braves, 7-4, winning the National League Championship Series, 4-2.
