The Senior Bowl showed me exactly where the Cowboys need help heading into the 2026 NFL Draft, not that it wasn't obvious, and it is exactly where people think. I watched the first couple days of Senior Bowl practices and saw guys fighting for their futures and somehow get coming back to the same thought about the Cowboys. This team isn't missing talent, it's missing balance. The middle of the offensive line is fine in Dallas, but the edges aren't. Also, the defense, oh my the defense, doesn't have enough players who can affect the quarterback when the game needs it.

Miami offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa on Thursday officially declared for the 2026 NFL draft, where he is expected to be among the first players selected. Mauigoa is ranked as the No. 1 offensive tackle by ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. in this year's draft. In his latest mock draft, Kiper has Mauigoa being picked No. 3 overall by the Arizona Cardinals.

Draft observers will recall all the hullabaloo about Campbell's arms being a whopping 3/8s" shorter than the so-called NFL minimum for an NFL tackle, never mind a left tackle who plays on an island much of the time. Fortunately, Mike Vrabel ignored all that foolishness, stood pat, and used that fourth pick on Campbell, who was instantly installed as his starting left tackle.

With that being said, Morris is a more valuable player than it might seem. He was better at right tackle than he was at left tackle, and the 2023 third-round pick will make $2.6 million over the next two seasons. In a market in which Dan Moore and current Chiefs lineman Jaylon Moore received $15 million or more per season in free agency, Morris would have meaningful value if he were on the open market.
