Hamber agreed the 12-year-old's death was beyond tragic but didn't agree with Frew that it was "prolonged." Earlier, Frew suggested the couple didn't want L.L. and his brother J.L. in therapy or to talk to children's services workers without them being there. Hamber says that was true at times, but she and Cooney weren't doing it to hide anything. Closing submissions are scheduled for March 23 and 27.
