SAN JOSE - The Sharks were their own worst enemy at times during their game against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday. Questionable Sharks line changes led to both the game-tying and go-ahead goals by the Senators, who earned a come-from-behind 3-2 win before a sellout crowd of 17,435 at SAP Center. Both Klingberg and Barclay Goodrow scored for the Sharks, and goalie Alex Nedeljkovic finished with 24 saves.

3 months agoDylan Strome leaves Ottawa Senators game in first period with lower-body injury
Strome was injured 3:34 into the first period as he skated toward the end boards during a Capitals power play. The first-line center got tripped by Senators defenseman Artem Zub and was fallen on top of by Jakob Chychrun as they both collided into the boards. After lying on the ice for about a minute, Strome was helped off the ice by John Carlson and Chychrun and was favoring his left leg.

Senators captain Brady Tkachuk underwent surgery on his right thumb on Thursday, the team announced. The winger is expected to be out until at least Thanksgiving, with a recovery timeline of six to eight weeks. Tkachuk, 26, made the decision to get surgery after meeting with a doctor in New York on Wednesday for a second opinion. Sources said Tkachuk's availability for the Olympic team should not be affected.
