Most people leave doctor visits with prescriptions, but still feel unsure—instructions make sense, but no one asks about their life. In contrast, when a provider knows your name, remembers your story, and explains care in a way that fits you, the experience feels different—and that difference matters.

One in every 17 people has a rare disease - I'm one of those people. I have mucopolysaccharidosis type I. It's more commonly known as 'Hurler syndrome', but even when I use that term, no one I meet has ever heard of it.

"We're not saying that AI use is good or bad, just like we wouldn't say, substance use is necessarily good or bad, or consulting with a friend about something is good or bad."

Coping with the death of a loved one is individual and, like anything else, exemplified by what works for you. Grief rituals can be practiced alone or with others, created uniquely by you or replicated over centuries.

Keytruda, first approved in 2014, belongs to a class of immunotherapy drugs that enable the immune system to attack cancer cells, extending survival for millions and transforming fatal diagnoses into manageable conditions.

I hate to say it, but I would not have gone to the doctor unless I had seen that comment. The process was accelerated by someone called PickleFart, what can I say?

I have been so well looked after that I wanted to find some way to not only give something back, but also to raise the profile of this awful condition.

"Hello, how are you doing? Good to see you," says Honor Cousens, as she pushes a trolley loaded with cold drinks, sweets, biscuits, toiletries, newspapers and magazines. The volunteer at the Royal London Hospital is a familiar face on the wards, and has been supporting staff and patients for many years. She is part of the Friends of the Royal London Hospital, a charity that has been running at the Whitechapel site since 1979.

Our most recent influencer campaign is really focused on patient stories. For this one, we're not really creating new content per se, just amplifying the stories that people are already sharing. We didn't change any of the parts of it. So it really was almost duplicate content in some way.

Evidence Based Medicine was formalized in the 1990s, largely by Canadian physician David Sackett. Sackett described the goal of EBM is to replace hunches and habits with data and clinical trials. Clinical guidelines were developed involving protocols that tell doctors which drug to prescribe first, what dose to use, when to escalate treatment, and when to refer a patient to a specialist.

I think everybody worries when they come to the last stages, no one knows what to expect, but these people are wonderful at relaxing you and they help you an awful lot.

"I grew up in a family that valued hard work and education," she says. "Starting over in a new country reinforced that nothing comes easily, but progress is always possible."

You get sick from staying inside, breathing the same germ-filled air. Open your windows, even for five minutes, to circulate the old air out and let in fresh air. Also, if you're taking your child to the doctor, don't wait to treat their fever because you want 'the provider to see the fever.' Your child might wait two hours to be seen, meanwhile their temperature goes up, and they might have a seizure. If you say they've been having fevers, we believe you.
