In the past week alone, 100 people have signed up to Majority, a progressive coalition based in the north-east of England that advocates for wealth taxes, public ownership of important utilities and upholding universal human rights.
During their set, Kneecap led the crowd in chants of "Fuck [UK Prime Minister] Keir Starmer" and "Free, free Palestine." They also told the crowd to "start a riot outside the courts" during band member Mo Chara's upcoming hearings.
The 29-year-old defendant, wearing yellow-and-blue trousers and a black T-shirt, denied charges of public nuisance and trespassing during a brief hearing at Westminster Magistrates' Court.
