I lost my temper Sunday against Ireland. I know this is not acceptable and I am aware that this puts an end to my World Cup. I would like to apologise to Aoife Wafer and Team Ireland, my teammates and staff, FFR and all those who support us. It's not the image I want to give, nor the player I want to be. I accept the sanction. Rugby is a respect sport and this gesture has nothing to do on a rugby field.

It may be only the second week of the Rugby World Cup but it is win or bust for so many teams this weekend and few games have that feeling more than the USA's showdown with Australia in York on Saturday evening. In many ways, this is the game of the round: and perhaps the tournament so far. The two sides began in contrasting fashion.

In certain other sports, Brazil's absence from any World Cup would be regarded as downright bizarre. It's not quite like that in rugby, and their women's 15s team created history simply by running on to the turf on Sunday. The first Brazil team to qualify for a men's or women's Rugby World Cup had played just 16 times before this, winning five matches, including a playoff against Colombia last year that sealed qualification.

Becoming head coach of my home country is a massive honour and a privilege. I am looking forward to playing a role in the rebuilding phase of Welsh rugby.
