The New York Rangers have shown signs of hope and pride despite a challenging season.
St. John's basketball ranks ninth all-time in NCAA Division I wins with 1,973 and has appeared in 32 NCAA Tournaments, achieving nine Sweet 16s and two Final Fours.
Cornell is thrilled to welcome all of these incredible student-athletes to Ithaca. The NCAA basketball tournaments are cultural institutions and lots of fun. I'm excited and proud, both as a fan and as the university's president, to host our terrific Ivy athletes, coaches and fans.
Five of the best years of my life were spent in Bloomington. I have a master's degree and Ph.D. from the extraordinary university that is the heartbeat of that beloved community. IU subsequently bestowed upon me two distinguished alumni awards. The university presented its first Bicentennial Medal to Indiana governor Eric Holcomb in July 2019; that same month, I became the second recipient.
The Rutgers Scarlet Knights (9-17) will try to end an eight-game losing streak when they host the Penn State Lady Lions (9-17) on February 21, 2026 at Jersey Mike's Arena. The game airs on BTN. In its previous game, Rutgers lost to Illinois on Tuesday, 76-56. Faith Blackstone scored a team-high 13 points (and chipped in one assist and four boards). Penn State was victorious in its most recent game versus Northwestern, 81-71, on Sunday. Kiyomi McMiller was its high scorer with 32 points.
The Rutgers Scarlet Knights (9-16) will try to stop a seven-game losing streak when they visit the Illinois Fighting Illini (17-8) on February 17, 2026 at State Farm Center. Illinois won its previous game versus Wisconsin, 92-60, on Wednesday. Aaliyah Guyton led the way with 22 points, plus two rebounds and six assists. Rutgers lost its most recent game to Purdue, 72-57, on Saturday. Nene Ndiaye was its high scorer with 25 points.
Seton Hall outscores opponents by 8.3 points per game (scoring 72.2 per game to rank 286th in college basketball while giving up 63.9 per contest to rank ninth in college basketball) and has a +157 scoring differential overall. The 72.2 points the Pirates average are just 2.3 more than the Blue Demons give up. Seton Hall knocks down 5.1 three-pointers per game (357th in college basketball) while shooting 31% from deep (318th in college basketball).
All five starters scored in double figures for the Bruins ( 16-7, 8-4 in the Big Ten), who had their second-highest scoring output this season. Xavier Booker made 10 of 11 shots, including all four of his three-point tries, to finish with 24 points, Tyler Bilodeau scored 19, Eric Dailey Jr. scored 17, Donovan Dent had 13 points and 11 assists and Trent Perry added 10 points.
Minnesota averages 70.6 points per game (302nd in college basketball) while giving up 68.0 per outing (43rd in college basketball). It has a +68 scoring differential overall and outscores opponents by 2.6 points per game. The Golden Gophers put up just 4.9 fewer points than the Scarlet Knights concede (75.5). Minnesota makes 8.3 three-pointers per game (139th in college basketball) at a 33.2% rate (233rd in college basketball), compared to the 7.6 its opponents make while shooting 33.3% from deep.
Maryland has been outscored by 6.5 points per game (scoring 70.9 per game to rank 294th in college basketball while giving up 77.4 per outing to rank 278th in college basketball) and has a -183 scoring differential overall.
