Irish literature is second to none, and for me that's quite a proud thing. The writers I've chosen for Document - Samuel Beckett, James Joyce, Seamus Heaney, William Butler Yeats, Flann O'Brien and Bram Stoker - are titans of literature and they each changed literature in their own way.

The Beckett estate is a crypt-keeper, clinging to strict conformities that often shut out innovative interpretations and underrepresented artists from engaging with Beckett's work.

Gabriel Byrne's portrayal of Beckett adds depth, especially in depicting the Nobel Prize dilemma and his relationships with significant figures in his life.
