The Spurs extended their winning streak to nine games Monday night with a dominant victory over Detroit, marking their fifth win this season against a team that entered the day with the NBA's best record. That's the most such wins by any team since the 1992-93 New York Knicks and the most in Spurs franchise history.

Free agent center Mason Plumlee is signing a 10-day contract with the San Antonio Spurs, his representative Mark Bartelstein of Priority Sports told ESPN's Shams Charania on Tuesday. Plumlee, in his 13th NBA season, was traded by the Hornets to the Thunder in a three-team deal ahead of the trade deadline and he was subsequently waived by Oklahoma City. Plumlee appeared in just 14 games for the Hornets, starting two, and averaged just under nine minutes per game.

The Knicks took care of business first, defeating the Orlando Magic 132-120 after a stellar performance from guard Jalen Brunson. He dropped a season-high 40 points, plus eight assists. It marked Brunson's 19th 40-point performance as a Knick, the third most in franchise history, according to ESPN Research. Knicks coach Mike Brown said Brunson's performance is "what MVPs are supposed to do."

San Antonio Spurs rookie Dylan Harper expects to make his return Wednesday at Portland after missing 10 games due to a strained left calf, Harper divulged his plan to play against the Trail Blazers to the San Antonio Express-News during the team's morning shootaround at the Moda Center.
