And you passed the Laken Riley Act to throw illegal alien criminals out of our country. You passed the Genius Act and the Take It Down Act with the support of our wonderful first lady. She got, by the way, she got actual support from the other side. It was bipartisan. I think Rand didn't vote for it again. I think it was only Rand! We had bipartisan support, other than maybe Rand.

I think the president's ready to get involved on having the discussion

Republicans and Democrats have been unable to get to a funding compromise. Republicans have accused Democrats of fighting for healthcare for illegal immigrants. Democrats are pushing for Affordable Care Act subsidies to be extended, arguing current expirations could lead to massive premium increases for citizens. If Republican Senators wanted to pass the CR and reopen the government they could, by using the nuclear option to override the 60 vote rule and pass the CR with a simple majority vote.

If Medicaid is cut, my patients will die. I realize I am being dramatic. It is a dramatic situation. They are humans who are doing their best. Please don't allow them to suffer more.
