Smart upgrades can turn basic grills into app-controlled systems that regulate airflow and temperature for consistently well-cooked meat.
The Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra is a cordless stick vacuum with 400 air watts of suction and a 100-minute battery life. It has a three-position wand that's length-adjustable, and an all-in-one clean station (which means it automatically empties and closes the dustbin, trapping 99.999% of fine dust particles).
Combined with an RGB camera to detect visible messes and obstacles, the UV light lets the vacuum spot stains that aren't visible under normal lighting, such as pet urine. When it encounters dirt, visible or not, the robot uses onboard AI to identify and decide how to clean it.
This year will be filled with robots that can fold your laundry, pick up objects and climb stairs, fridges that you can command to open by voice, laptops with screens that can follow you around the room on motorised hinges and the reimagining of the BlackBerry phone. Those are the predictions from the annual CES tech show in Las Vegas that took place this week. The sprawling event aims to showcase cutting-edge technology developed by startups and big brands.
