Realme Watch 5 is all set to launch in India on December 4. Ahead of the debut, the company has confirmed the smartwatch's design, colour options and main features. Notably, the model is already available in select global markets. The upcoming wearable is positioned as a major upgrade over the preceding Watch 3 Pro, featuring a larger AMOLED display, expanded health tracking tools and longer battery life.
Because of time's arrow, my daughter, who was once a toddler, is now a preteen. A new question thus arises: When should I let her get a smartphone? This problem isn't new to me. I have two older kids, now in their 20s. Back in the day, I bought each of them an iPod Touch-essentially, a smartphone without the phone-when they were about her age, and then the full device at around the start of high school.
Xiaomi capped off its big launch event by bringing a pair of previously announced smart wearables to the global stage. The Xiaomi Watch S4 41mm which was unveiled earlier this year in China is now making its way to European markets. It is joined by the OpenWear Stereo Pro wireless earbuds which also made their debut back in June. Watch S4 41mm starts at €159/£129 for the Black and Mint Green color options with the TPU strap.
The watch offers a premium and robust build with a body made of zirconium-based liquid metal, marketed to be 8.7x more corrosion resistant and also stronger and harder than standard aluminum smartwatches. The bezel is made of nanocrystal ceramic and so is the back, which makes it skin-friendly and hypoallergenic. And as for the display, it's of course sapphire crystal.
Huawei's Watch Ultimate 2 comes in as the direct successor to last year's first-gen Watch Ultimate bringing a few key upgrades. It features a similar design to its predecessor with an updated zirconium-based liquid metal case matched with dual-tone nanocrystal ceramic bezels and sapphire glass. You get a 1.5-inch LTPO2 AMOLED display rated at 3,500 nits peak brightness and 18% thinner display bezels.
NoiseFit Endeavour Pro has launched in India as the newest smartwatch from the wearable technology firm. The smartwatch sports a 1.5-inch AMOLED display and has titanium alloy bezels. The NoiseFit Endeavour Pro offers a heart rate monitor and tracks blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) levels. It has a 5 ATM water resistance rating and GPS connectivity. The company says that the NoiseFit Endeavour Pro offers up to 10 days of battery life on a single charge.
OnePlus advertises up to five days of battery life in typical "smart" mode, and I can confirm that is accurate. A five-day battery life for a smartwatch is unheard of when the Apple Watch, Google Pixel Watch, and Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra are still trailing in the two-day range.
