Statistics show that between April 2019 and March 2025, 104 children died with temporary accommodation recorded as a contributing factor to their vulnerability, ill-health or death.

Disabled residents living in temporary accommodation have said broken lifts forced them to sleep in the lobby. Wheelchair-user Michael said he was told by the council "to walk up the stairs", but "I am disabled".
