A five-game losing streak, out of play-in contention, and a whole lot of growing pains is not exactly the climate you want to plant a new team in. At the deadline, the Bulls bought in a bunch of new guys-Jaden Ivey, Collin Sexton, Nick Richards, Anfernee Simons, Rob Dillingham, Leonard Miller-dropped straight into a losing program. Since the guys have come in, the team is 0-3. So yeah, the frustrations have already started to rear their ugly head.
The Rangers decided to add at this year's trade deadline and acquired several arms to beef up the pitching staff. Merrill Kelly was the headliner, but the team also swung deals for Danny Coulombe and in an effort to make up for somewhat lacking production from the club's offense. That strategy, unfortunately, hasn't worked. The Rangers' position in the standings hasn't changed much as they've remained stuck around .500, as has been the case for most of the year.
