While the weather was unfortunately not on their side, the 44 runners who took part in Saturday's Tralee 40-Mile Ultra Marathon were not deterred and completed the run with smiles on their face throughout.

Lucien Epiney from Switzerland won the Ultra Trail Men's race in Spain with a time of 6:57, followed by Alexis Martín and Manuel Mesa from Spain finishing in 7:10 and 7:51 respectively.
