A goaltender with tremendous size, Tolopilo made his NHL debut on April 14, 2025 against the San Jose Sharks. He was called up to the show only days earlier on an emergency basis. He played well and made 15 saves to secure his first NHL win in a 2-1 victory. He has spent most of his pro career with the Abbotsford Canucks of the American Hockey League, affilaite of Vancouver.
Robbie G.K. (Robbie Graham-Kuntz), from the wildly popular hockey romance series Heated Rivalry, was in the house, seated in the lower bowl with his friends. Robbie plays the character Kip Grady, a history-loving smoothie shop barista, in the show. "Hey, what's up Canucks fans? It's Robbie GK here. You might recognize me from Kip from the show, 'Heated Rivalry.' I am clearly here at the Canucks game for Pride Night. Very happy to be here and support this great event and go, Canucks! Go!"
Many around the league were prepared for Crosby trade talk to become its own cottage industry in 2025-26, as the Pittsburgh Penguins star center sought a return to the Stanley Cup playoffs on another team. Alas, the Penguins might end up being Crosby's playoff team, having amassed a .625 points percentage through 28 games and holding down a wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference. If they're playing meaningful games this season, Crosby isn't going anywhere -- if he ever was in the first place.
But Miller, as always, was more dialed into the game. Honestly, no, Miller said after the game when asked if he was able to soak in the moment. We had a power play, we were worried about having a good rep. Miller had lots of time to reflect. Vancouver will always be a special place for him and his family.
You talked about it, or you wrote it. I didn't talk about a loser mentality. I said they accept not winning. That's way different. You make the headlines, it's very nice. It's not about the teams; it's more the people of Vancouver. They maybe accept that the Canucks don't do well sometimes, or the Whitecaps. That's what I'm mentioning.
