The government this year intends to submit a number of bills so late that they can't be processed in June. Members of parliament will be asked to return to the chamber on August 12th and 13th. The Swedish people expect us to work hard and I expect parliament to take that seriously and prioritise a continued high pace above summer vacation.
Blasting away one of Labour's biggest majorities shows that under the more left-populist leadership of Zack Polanski, the Greens are now playing in a different political league. Polanski and the party's new MP, Hannah Spencer, were explicit that they do not see this as a self-contained local contest but as the blueprint for all sorts of other parts of the country.

Ziobro is being investigated on 26 charges, with prosecutors looking into allegations that he ran a criminal group and abused his position through the misuse of resources from a fund designed to help victims of crime. According to Polish media, prosecutors allege that the funds were used for political patronage and to acquire the Pegasus spyware system, allegedly deployed against domestic political rivals. Ziobro denies the allegations.
