Hernandez's agent confirmed the defender's commitment to stay at Milan and renew his contract, despite recent struggles under coach Paulo Fonseca.
Quilon stated, "The intention is very clear, which is for him to remain and sign a new deal. We have said it many times."
Hernandez created just 15 chances this season, but still leads with the most attacking sequence involvements (56) of any Milan defender.
Quilon expressed respect for coach Fonseca's choices, saying, "These are not decisions that are down to the player. He respects his teammates..."
