JBM has announced an order for 1,021 electric buses under the PM e-Bus Sewa Scheme-2, valued at approximately Rs 5,500 crore. The buses will primarily operate in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Haryana. Alongside this order, JBM aims to launch a new electric city bus model in Europe by April 2024, starting in Germany. With the robust Payment Security Mechanism in place, JBM intends to ensure financial sustainability for operators, contributing to its goal of serving over 20 billion passengers in the next few years. The company already has a substantial global footprint with 2,000 electric buses deployed internationally.
We are proud to be a part of this transformative initiative that aims to revolutionize public mobility to all parts of India. This significant order strengthens our commitment to providing world-class, sustainable, and technologically advanced public mobility solutions.
The project will be supported by a Payment Security Mechanism (PSM), ensuring timely payments to electric bus operators and enhancing financial sustainability for industry stakeholders.
