Kia EV6 Recall Alert
Briefly

Kia Corporation is recalling 62,872 EV6 electric vehicles from 2022-2024 due to defective onboard charging control units, leading to diminished power and battery charging issues.
Damage to the charging control units can result in the EV6 entering fail-safe mode, where the vehicle progressively loses power, alerting drivers through warning lights and chimes.
To resolve the issue, Kia will update the software in the affected charging control units, inspect those units, and replace fuses as necessary to restore full functionality.
Owners of affected Kia EV6 vehicles will be notified by Kia and can get the repairs done at their dealers free of charge, ensuring customer safety.
