Telo's Affordable, Mini-Sized Electric Truck Just Hit A Crucial Milestone
Briefly

The future of electric vehicles is shifting towards more affordable and functional options, moving away from luxury sedans. Startups like California-based Telo Trucks are leading this change with their MT1 truck, designed to meet unique market needs with a price of $42,000. Recently, Telo Trucks announced a significant milestone with its prototype hitting the roads for testing. Featuring multiple configurations and electric capabilities, the MT1 offers impressive specifications including a fast zero to 60 mph time, substantial battery capacity, and urban-friendly towing capabilities, all targeting a sustainable market.
Telo Trucks is defining a new category of pickup trucks that meets a significant market need for sustainability, size and functionality across both consumer and fleet audiences.
These capabilities in the size of a mini truck are only possible as an electric vehicle.
Telo is aiming for a payload capacity of up to 2,000 lbs (907 kg) and a tow rating of 6,600 lbs (3,000 kg), making it ideal for smaller urban gear-hauling.
The MT1 will supposedly boast 77 or 106 kWh battery options, up to 250 kW DC fast charging, a zero to 60 mph time of four seconds flat.
