Tim Cook will retire as CEO of Apple on September 1, after a 15-year tenure. John Ternus, currently senior vice president of hardware engineering, will take over. Cook expressed gratitude for leading Apple and working with a dedicated team. Ternus, who joined Apple in 2001, has played a key role in launching major products like the iPad and iPhone. He expressed excitement about continuing Apple's mission and working with talented individuals at the company.
