"AI usage has become standard practice in software development, with 85% of developers in a recent JetBrains survey citing regular use of AI tools for coding and development. Additionally, 62% were relying on at least one AI-powered coding assistant, agent, or code editor. Only 15% of respondents had not adopted AI tools in their daily work. These findings were included in JetBrains' State of the Developer Ecosystem Report 2025, which was unveiled October 15."

The top five concerns about AI reported by the developers were the quality of code (23%), limited understanding of complex code and logic by AI tools (18%), privacy and security (13%), negative effect on coding and development skills (11%), and lack of context awareness (10%)."
