IT leaders are less AI-ready than they were a year ago, says Cisco report

IT leaders are under immense pressure to adopt AI, with 85% feeling they have less than 18 months to act, yet only 13% feel fully prepared.

There are significant infrastructure gaps, especially in compute and cybersecurity capabilities, with only 21% of organizations having the necessary GPUs for AI.

Even with the urgency for AI adoption, companies report feeling less ready than last year, struggling particularly with data management and governance issues.

Despite lukewarm results from current AI initiatives, organizations still plan to allocate about 30% of their IT budgets to AI over the next five years.
