Polish startup Clone Robotics has unveiled Protoclone, a groundbreaking humanoid robot characterized by its remarkably accurate anatomically design and synthetic muscular movements. The 6-foot prototype, resembling a faceless human, was shown in a chilling demonstration that sparked mixed reactions online. Unlike other advanced robots, Protoclone's claim to fame lies in its realistic body shape and potential for more than 200 movement degrees. However, as the prototype has yet to demonstrate bipedal walking effectively, comparisons with competitors like Elon Musk's Optimus robot remain prevalent.
Protoclone is described as 'the world's first bipedal, musculoskeletal android' - one with fake bones, joints, tendons and muscles that can walk on two legs.
Some social media users seemed to be disturbed by the faceless droid, with one saying: 'Can you just draw a smiley face on the head, please?'.
Clone Robotics touts the humanoid machine as bipedal - but the clip only shows it hanging from strings as it moves about frantically.
Compared to these rivals, Protoclone arguably has a body shape more like a human, complete with realistic movements.
