The gloves are off in the feud between Sam Altman and Elon Musk
"Don't let your loved ones use ChatGPT"
"It is genuinely hard; we need to protect vulnerable users, while also making sure our guardrails still allow all of our users to benefit from our tools," Altman said."
"I only ever rode in a car using it once, some time ago, but my first thought was that it was far from a safe thing for Tesla to have released," he wrote. "I won't even start on some of the Grok decisions."
"You take 'every accusation is a confession' so far."
Elon Musk posted a warning on X telling people not to let loved ones use ChatGPT after a post linked the chatbot to deaths since its 2022 release. Sam Altman defended ChatGPT and said protecting vulnerable users while preserving useful guardrails is difficult. Altman criticized Tesla's Autopilot as unsafe, noting one ride left him with the impression it was not safe to release and adding a criticism of some Grok decisions. Representatives for both men did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Musk has sued alleging OpenAI shifted from nonprofit to for-profit after his $38 million donation.
