Ash Fure has collaborated with T+E+A+M and stock-a-studio to create "The Warehouse", a versatile performance venue at Dartmouth College. This innovative space, transformed from an old administrative building, supports a Master of Fine Arts in Sonic Practice. It incorporates advanced sound technology and modular architecture to enhance sound experimentation. Featuring a 24.2-channel Meyer sound system and exposed infrastructure, the venue fosters diverse sonic activities ranging from dance events to intimate listening sessions, embodying the collaboration's artistic vision of integrating sound and architecture.
The Warehouse is designed to be a generative engine of sound, facilitating both loud events and subtle multichannel compositions, enhancing the experience of sonic practice at Dartmouth.
The design reveals the building's infrastructure, allowing ducts and cables to become part of the artistic environment while supporting versatility in sound performances.
