The spring exhibition at New Museum Los Gatos showcases 83 selected works from over 700 entries submitted by Santa Clara County students, centered around the theme 'dreamscapes.' This theme challenges artists to explore how their dreams embody societal values and personal aspirations. The exhibition aims to recognize creativity through prizes exceeding $10,000. During a preview event, artists and educators expressed gratitude for the opportunity offered by the museum, highlighting its significant influence on the local art community and the personal growth of young artists involved in the projects.
During a VIP preview, guests strolled through the gallery and observed the artwork complete with labels, which were the students' written responses to describe their work.
Gottam spoke on how she has grown as a person and an artist through being an intern at New Museum.
Each speech highlighted the hard work every student has put in and the exhibition's positive impact on the art community.
It's a beautiful reminder of what we can achieve together,” said Amy Pan, from Saratoga.
