Jennifer Lee, the electronic artist TOKiMONSTA, has deep roots in Los Angeles's Koreatown, where she spent her childhood. Looking back, Lee never envisioned a career in music, largely due to her immigrant background. After a successful 15-year career and the release of her seventh album, "Eternal Reverie," she emphasizes the importance of creative freedom by stepping back from touring and industry pressures. This approach helped her reconnect with her original passion for music, steering clear of resentment towards her art.
"When I was younger, I didn't aspire to be a musician. I think growing up in an immigrant family, there was no point in time where being a musician was laid out for me as a possibility."
"One of my fears, once I started doing music full time, is to become resentful of music the thing I love the most."
