Watershed Protection details preparation for Old Lampasas Dam repairs - Austin Monitor
Briefly

The Watershed Protection Department is set to initiate the $14.9 million Old Lampasas Dam #3 Modernization Project after fulfilling City Council's environmental and quality-of-life diligence.
WPD Director Jorge Morales noted that the project will use just over 15,000 square feet of city parkland for staging, with no significant environmental impacts found.
The contractor responsible for the dam repair will restore the staging area, mitigating soil compaction and reestablishing native vegetation disturbed during construction.
A community engagement specialist will ensure that construction schedules minimize conflicts with local school bus routes, limiting lane closures to specific hours on weekdays and weekends.
