Bayern Munich's center-back prospect, Tarek Buchmann, has returned to training after an extended period out due to injuries, including ligament and muscle issues. He has missed 85 games over 17 months but expressed relief and gratitude for the club's support during his challenging recovery. Although he acknowledges that he is not yet ready for first-team action, this return is a step in the right direction. Buchmann appreciates the guidance from the coach, who shares his playing position experience, enhancing his training experience.
My comeback is a huge relief and makes me really happy. It was the culmination of a long recovery process after a good 17 months out. I'm incredibly thankful for how caring the club has been with me during this difficult time.
The reality for Buchmann is that he is far off from being ready to contribute to the first team, but he is - at a minimum - healthy and making progress.
It obviously helps when the coach played in the same position. He's very communicative and tries to help all of us. It's a lot of fun training under him.
