An Oregon neighborhood has been baffled by an unusual crime where a man anonymously deposits jugs filled with urine into recycling bins at night. Local resident Alex Van Duyn discovered the jugs while checking his recycling and felt compelled to investigate further. Using a security camera, he captured footage of a person in a hooded outfit using a BMW to make these bizarre deposits. This strange saga has perplexed residents, leading to discussions on social media platforms such as NextDoor, with little clarity on the motivation behind these gross acts.
"It sort of started to unravel. I don't know why he's hitting the same location so many times. That doesn't make sense to me, and why he is doing it."
"It is tragically gross," said Alex Van Duyn, a northeast Portland resident who came home one day to find city services hadn't emptied the full recycling bins he'd dragged out that morning.
"I went to open the blue bin. And lo and behold, there was a nice deposit of gallon-size bottles of urine, to put it plainly. And there were six of them."
"The jugs were filled to the brim with yellow urine. Dark, evidently poorly hydrated, stinky, white-foaming pee is considered a biohazard, so it can't be processed by recyclers and can only be thrown out."
