This decision followed an examination that revealed low blood circulation in his leg, a problem he has endured since 2022 due to nerve pain. Despite past success as a double champion, his health issues affected his performance, landing him further down the rankings. Iserbyt expresses relief in identifying the issue and hopes to regain his full performance abilities post-surgery for the next season.
"I am relieved that a cause has now been identified," said Iserbyt, who has been disturbed by nerve pain in his leg, and back, since 2022.
"I felt last season that I could not perform at 100 percent. I am hopeful that this will be the case again after the procedure with a view to the next cyclocross season."
