Rowe spoke candidly about his transition: "I want to make a change - if it's here now then I want it to become better... The biggest reason I was scared was if I wanted to make a change then it has to go through too many people and the change doesn't end up happening." His desire for impactful change and improvement drove him to leave Ineos and join a smaller organization.
Reflecting on his past at Ineos, Rowe compared it to the earlier days of Team Sky, stating, "At Team Sky there was always Dave Brailsford at the top... But now, there's more levels above and above. I was scared that I'd get lost in a big organization... It wasn't about negativity; I have a lot of time for them..." This highlights his departure's underlying motivations beyond mere teams.
